Allama Iqbal Open University — Islamabad Campus & Regional Centres
400 kW rooftop solar system completed and inaugurated at AIOU's Islamabad campus, with a 2 MW expansion contracted and 365 kW delivered across a regional centre.
Overview
Delivered in joint venture with the National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), HKH (Pvt) Ltd structured and delivered a phased solar power programme for Allama Iqbal Open University.

Inauguration
The 400 kW system was formally inaugurated on 20 July 2023 at the AIOU Islamabad campus, with a ceremony including the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, a project briefing in the Vice Chancellor's committee room, and a stakeholder session between university and HKH representatives.
On Site
Work included ground-mount structures and array installation, module rows across the campus, sub-structure and cable management, and a rooftop array at the 365 kW regional centre.

Solarisation of the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen headquarters in Islamabad, delivered as a joint venture between Telephone Industries of Pakistan and M/S Hajra Khaliq Haider Pvt Ltd.
Specification
- 60 kW installed rooftop capacity
- Grid-tied system with a Growatt inverter bank and distribution boards
Delivery
Work included an elevated mounting structure spanning the roof slab, the completed module array with access walkway, and the Growatt inverter bank and distribution boards installed on site.
