The Shanghai Pumin Technology delegation called on the Secretary Defence Production to explore Pakistan–China cooperation in surveillance city infrastructure, smart city technology, security drone systems and technology transfer with NRTC.
Visit Overview
As part of its official visit to Pakistan (7–11 September 2026), a delegation from Shanghai Pumin Technology Development Co., Ltd. called on the Ministry of Defence Production, Government of Pakistan. The visit was arranged under the framework of the MoU signed between NITB and Shanghai Pumin Technology Development Co., Ltd. on 16 June 2026 in China, and was aimed at exploring avenues of Pakistan–China cooperation in surveillance, smart city and security technologies.
Reception
The delegation was warmly received at the Ministry of Defence Production by Lieutenant General Muhammad Chiragh Haider (Retd), HI(M), Secretary Defence Production, along with senior officials of the Defence Production Division. The gracious welcome extended by the Ministry set a cordial and constructive tone for the engagement.
